"So," Ike said, scratching the back of my neck. "What's my, uh, agenda here? What am I, uh. Feeling?"

Rolf scowled at him.

"You're feeling like you really have to run screaming across that hallway," he said, adjusting his smart black beret. "And like you should stop wasting the director's time."

"Right," Ike said, nodding to himself. He glanced back down at the script. Rolf fixed Soren with a look; Soren responded in kind, raising one eyebrow and fixing his mouth into a thin, straight line.

"Let me guess, you've got comments, too?"

"Only about the script," Soren said. "And your directing in general. Your lead actor couldn't cry his way out of a paper bag, by the way."

Rolf's scowl deepened.

"Okay, but," Ike cut in, "why are we running, again?"

"Told you, kid!" Shinon shouted from somewhere behind him.

"New direction," Rolf said, smacking Ike in the arm with a copy of the script. "You and Soren are victims of this ceaseless robo-violence. Go lie down somewhere out of the way and be quiet."
