(yuletide letter) it's beginning to look a lot like christmas
Dear Yuletide Santa,
First off, thank you for signing up and I hope you're having a great time! I'm sure I'll love anything you write -- I'm not terribly hard to please, and I'd love anything from any of the fandoms I requested (which are SUPER MARVEL this year, um. I did not plan that going in!), and also because I already know that you're FANTASTIC and I'm going to love the fic and YOU, seriously.
OPTIONAL DETAILS ARE TOTALLY OPTIONAL! Loved, but optional. I'm the kind of person who likes to have way too much info so I basically toss around some ideas under the cut, but if you've already got an idea or if you get one that's totally different you should go for it! Basically I want you to have fun writing the story -- if you do, then I'm sure I'll love it.
The only things I'm going to specify are that I love fluff, I'm not a big angst person and happy endings are much appreciated, and gen is always just as welcome as any kind of pairingfic!
X-Men: Misfits (ANY): so uh basically, dear Yuletide writer, if we got matched on this? We're getting married. No questions. Wear white, meet me at the chapel, and don't worry, I've already made sure everyone's getting us really cool toasters.
I'd love ANY sort of story for X-Men: Misfits! Seriously -- slash, het, gen, Pyro entering a longterm and loving relationship with a potted plant, whatever. Some ideas I had were anything with Kitty's further adventures at Xavier's Academy, maybe bonding with one of her teachers or just hanging out with the Hellfire Club and putting up with their antics while being Highly Exasperated. Or maybe the return of Professor Jean Grey, or how Storm got her mohawk here, or Magneto and Xavier's Timeless Love Story (how does Prof X feel about Magneto's suave ponytail look?). Maybe Misfits!Kitty takes a page out of her 616 counterpart's book and goes overboard making her uniform "individual". Or, hey, a thousand words on Warren's daily hair care rituals, or that poor freshmen with the trumpet he gets to announce his descent down the staircase -- that'd be awesome. Alex and Scott's tense sibling relationship, or anything (ANYTHING) with tan, cheerful Misfits!Pietro Maximoff. Okay I think we're basically clear that I would love ANYTHING from Misfits, right? Because ANYTHING would be amazing.
(I promise, I talk less about my other fandoms. ... Well okay no I actually can't make that promise in good faith. But I try!)
Tiger & Bunny (Wild Tiger, Bunny, Blue Rose, Dragon Kid): I love ALL THE HEROES. I selected Bunny, Tiger, Blue Rose and Dragon Kid because they might be my most absolute favorites, but seriously, what I think I want most is fic about ALL THE HEROES, or any combo of them that strikes your fancy! I'm a huge superhero dork (I absolutely bet you would have never guessed that from the rest of this letter), so I'd love to see something with them saving the day heroically and bantering and basically being the best. I love gen, but slash is good if it floats your boat (because Tiger and Barnaby are basically life partners, let's not pretend), and I basically think Blue Rose's crush on Tiger is hilarious and adorable, but I feel slightly iffy about it being reciprocated in any way. (I also wouldn't be terribly crazy about any romance featuring Pao-Lin but this is less of a big deal.)
Other things I'd possibly like to see is (SPOILERS) Tiger dealing with the fact he's losing his powers and realizing that you can be a HERO REGARDLESS (because like, okay, BATMAN DOESN'T HAVE POWERS, this is not a big deal, you are in a giant robot suit anyway and also super-powerless for most of your fights??) and Barnaby maybe rolling his eyes at him because duh, or I really liked the babysitting episode, so something along those lines would be adored. Or you know, we never did get to see that shrimp fried rice, and I see no reason why it wouldn't eventually get shared with everyone. Basically though I just want the heroes to all be best friends? This is my happy fandom -- as long as there's friendship and maybe some superhero antics, I'm golden, and I don't even necessarily need the superhero antics!
Young Avengers (Billy & Tommy): I'd really love some brotherly bonding fic. Maybe the issue in Presents wasn't the first/last time they went looking for Wanda, or maybe they're just kicking around the hideout together, maybe Tommy's getting to know the rest of Billy's family or they're fighting supervillains or arguing over which one of them is the older twin anyway (even though Tommy totally knows he is). Anything is cool so long as they're getting their bond on. I love the whole team, so if you want to include them, that'd be awesome! Teddy/Billy is great too if you want but I'd prefer the focus to be on Tommy and Billy's relationship.
No twincest, please, and I'm not the hugest Tommy/Kate fan. Other than that, go wild!
X-23 (Laura Kinney, Remy LeBeau, Jubilation Lee, Logan): I would really, really love some familyfic here! I loved the issues with the four of them in Paris, and if it strikes your fancy I'd adore a holiday fic with Gambit and Jubes trying to make sure Laura has the best Christmas ever, and Logan being dragged along for the ride (but secretly trying too, in his own way). Alternatively, I'd love anything with Gambit getting his mother hen on with Laura.
I'd prefer gen here, but I don't mind something slightly shippy (I'm pretty partial to Julian/Laura, if you want to include him, but no worries if you don't, I really would just love a gen family fic), just so long as neither Gambit nor Logan are paired with either of the girls, because I find any combo of that super squicky.
SO BASICALLY
Likes: Fluff! Humor! Basically sappy fic where everybody hugs, I know, super gross but I like warm fuzzies. Also, makeouts! Slash! Or not slash that's cool too! That kind of over-the-top kind of superhero action! People fighting robots? WHY NOT. Or, you know, just happy endings.
Dislikes: Overpowering angst, gore, noncon, dubcon, explicit violence. Any sort of character bashing. Infidelity/cheating.
