fic post + oh look my fic's been stolen!

By Any Other Name, Young Justice, Lois Lane and Superboy gen.
“I like journalism,” Conner protested. “There’s a lot more punching things than I expected.”

surely shifted my way, X-Men: First Class, Erik/Charles, modern slightly!AU weddingfic. With doves.
“I don’t understand,” Charles said after dinner. “I leave you alone for an afternoon and you ruin two of the children.”

“It’s a gift,” Erik told him.

So I was just alerted that one of my fics (aha, babysitting fic, of course it was you) has been stolen and posted on ff.net! Is it bad that I find this all very exciting? It's like I'm back in fandom proper again. Sent the poster (she sounds all cute and young and baby fandom-y) a PM asking her to take it down, but if she doesn't I'll report it. She does have a few stolen pieces on her dA, too, including a piece of fanart for that particular fic.

Your fic got stolen! +5 bnf cred.

But seriously, if she has a streak of thefts, I don't expect this to end well.

Yeah, figured I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and try the soft approach, but if that doesn't work, hey. I just didn't want to be that jerk who goes in all YOU STOLE MY FIC TAKE IT DOWN THIS INSTANT YOUNG LADY AND GO TO YOUR ROOM.

I'm not sure the art thefts are actually thefts or more "oh hey I really like this and can't find the credit but I want to ~share~ so I'll just stick it on my own account." One of them seems that way, at least. Like I said, she sounds young.
